Dead Sea Scrolls

The San Diego Natural History Museum was chosen as one of the few stops on the traveling Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibit tour. The Exhibit is only in town through December 31st. Tickets are on sale but those around the holidays are selling out.

Maybe this isn’t your thing. Still, how often do you get to see something from the 1st Century CE. Really, we don’t get a lot of that in California. Whether or not you’re religious - and you don’t have to be religious to be impressed by this one - it is an interesting historical find.  And, the Museum is in Balboa Park, which is lovely. The restuarant Prado is nearby. You can get a ticket, tour the exhibit then sit outside and have a nice lunch.
